Há dois finais para o que vemos ao redor. I.º O fim feio e doloroso, asfixiante e horrendo. Este é o produzido pelo poder do avanço e progresso do homem ilimitado sobre o limitado ambiente, se bem que visto assim como limitado ambiente somente diante do desproporcional movimento do homem sobre o meio ambiente. Vejamos o corte de uma árvore frente ao tempo que tem o vegetal para crescer. E ainda assim há musgos pioneiros que crescem em húmidas pedras.
II.º O fim natural e misterioso, o colapso, o mero apagar da luz. Pode ser o bafo do sol, ou os gases do núcleo, pode ser o vómito dos mares e os cabelos del aire. Mas uma coisa é certa, professor, o fim sempre acontece. Eu hoje tenho uma indignação tão grande com o ser humano dito organizado, ainda mais quando não cumpridor do bem-fazer intelectual, desde as leis que não existem aos dizeres de desimportâncias actuais, que não acredito ser capaz, o homem finalizar a natureza externa. Quando digo intelecto entra em contexto o acto de agir sobre temas, de forma primária inicial, contínua e inovadora. Por isso não deixemos de fazer o que nos cabe fazer, que sejam sempre coisas boas.
Acredito assim, acima de tudo, no mistério e força da vida, porque o fim natural é belo e muito maior, grandioso e esplêndido que as próprias destruições do homem em sí.
